Role Overview

This is an entry-level Test Engineer role focused primarily on manual testing, with a clear development path toward test automation over time.

The role supports quality assurance across web applications and backend services, ensuring core user flows work reliably before and after releases.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual smoke and regression tests across web UI and core API flows
• Verify correct behavior for chat, feeds, payments, authentication, and notifications
• Identify, document, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected results, and evidence
• Maintain and update test case documentation and test checklists
• Assist with release checks and validation before deployments
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to clarify issues and improve test coverage

Required Skills and Experience

Testing and Quality Fundamentals

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical testing approach
• Ability to think through user flows and edge cases
• Good written and verbal communication skills

API and Tooling Basics

• Basic experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman
• Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response validation

Learning and Growth

• Willingness to learn test automation, CI workflows, and modern QA practices
• Interest in developing technical testing skills over time

Data Awareness (Nice to Have)

• Basic exposure to SQL or MongoDB
• Familiarity with validating data changes resulting from application behavior
